A conference was held In Herat to promote the TAPI gas pipeline

On February 2, 2016 a conference dedicated to the TAPI pipeline, organized by the Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs of Afghanistan took place in the city of Herat in Afghanistan.

The conference was attended by Minister of Borders and Tribal Affairs, the governor of Herat, heads of accredited foreign consular offices, as well as authoritative representatives of other nations living in Herat.

The main objective of the conference was to promote social and economic benefits of TAPI gas pipeline among the local population. In their speeches the participants noted the positive impact that the TAPI gas pipeline will make on the socio-economic situation in Afghanistan and on the further development of political and economic cooperation between friendly countries.


At the end of the conference, the participants decided to support the TAPI project.
