On March 21, 2016 in New Delhi, the Embassies of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Iran jointly organized and held a cultural event dedicated to the International holiday of Novruz. The partner countries were Pakistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan. The Afghan embassy by mutual consent was the current time coordinator of the cultural event. The chief guest from the Government of India was Foreign Secretary (East) Indian Foreign Service, Ms. Preeti Saran.
Speaking on behalf of the organizers the Ambassador of Afghanistan Shaida Abdali said that all are united by the essence of unity and celebration - the introduction of spring in their rights, and congratulated those present on the remarkable holiday.
Foreign Secretary (East) Ms. Preeti Saran also congratulated the organizers, the partners and all the guests on behalf of the Government of India on the occasion and wished all prosperity and well-being.
It should be noted that the Embassy of Turkmenistan, as well as other participants took an active part in the program of cultural events. Each country presented a cultural program that included singing, music and dance, national cuisine.
The pavilion of our country has been colorfully decorated in the spirit of national culture. In particular, it was exhibited carpets, ceramics and embroidery, national costumes and printed materials.
A gala festival of friendship of peoples ended under the general applause with the Turkmen dance kushtdepdi.
