Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation advocate further strengthening and expansion of bilateral cooperation
On May 21, 2014 in National tourist zone Avaza, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan had the meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Co-chairman of the Turkmen-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation Arkady Dvorkovich, who is on a working visit to Turkmenistan.
The sides discussed the progress of implementation of previously reached agreements at the 7th meeting of the Commission held on September 16-17, 2013 in Ashgabat and prospective directions of further development of bilateral cooperation.
A substantive exchange of views has taken place on conditions and prospects of expansion of mutually beneficial economic relations, consolidation of cooperation in fuel and energy sector, industry, transport, agriculture, cooperation between the business-circles and entrepreneurs communities of the two countries as well as in the sphere of science, education and sports.
Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation also participated in the V International Gas Congress of Turkmenistan.
