From December 13 to 16, 2023, a delegation of Turkmenistan led a visit to Japan led by the Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan R.Jepbarov.
During the visit, representatives of the Turkmen delegation held a number of meetings with members of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee on Economic Cooperation, as well as bilateral negotiations with the heads of Japanese government agencies, organizations, financial institutions and leading Japanese companies.
During the meetings, prospects for the implementation of previously reached agreements, new opportunities for developing cooperation in the energy sector, as well as challenges facing the path to achieving carbon neutrality were discussed.
As a result of the visit, a number of documents were signed, including a document on establishing direct air communication between the aviation authorities of Turkmenistan and Japan.
