On 10 November 2022 a meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia M. Ayazov and the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia A. Arzumanyan. During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of developing trade turnover between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia.
A. Arzumanyan noted that proposals related to the establishment of cargo transportation between the two countries and the development of tourism are currently being studied, He informed that these proposals will be sent to the Turkmen side in the nearest future.
By agreeing with the proposals of the Armenian side, M. Ayazov invited the relevant institutions of the Republic of Armenia and representatives of companies to take actively part in international exhibitions held in Turkmenistan.
During the meeting M. Ayazov suggested holding a business forum between businessmen of the two countries in 2023.
The Ambassador also proposed to organize a meeting between the relevant ministries of the two countries at the expert level in order to increase trade turnover between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia and discuss logistics issues. A. Arzumanyan, in turn, noted that the Armenian side fully supports these proposals.
