On August 24, 2023, the ceremony of presenting copies of Credential letters by the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.Meredov to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov took place.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed the readiness of the Uzbek side to provide assistance and support in his activities for the further development of bilateral relations.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects for cooperation between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The activation of the partnership between the two countries on the entire spectrum of issues of mutual interest was noted.
The Ambassador, in turn, assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen relations between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
