On July 27, 2021, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Turkmenistan, Said Osman Ahmed Suweid, who presented his credentials.
Expressing deep gratitude for the time allotted for a personal meeting, the diplomat conveyed warm greetings to the head of the Turkmen state from the Servant of the Two Noble Sanctuaries King Salman Ben Abdelaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, who addressed sincere wishes for peace and prosperity to the Turkmen leader and people of the country.
Congratulating the plenipotentiary representative of a friendly state on his appointment to a responsible post, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conveyed his best wishes to the top leadership and people of Saudi Arabia. The head of Turkmenistan noted with satisfaction the high level of established friendly interstate relations based on a mutual desire to develop effective interaction in all spheres.
During the meeting, which was held in a constructive manner, a thorough exchange of views took place on a wide range of Turkmen-Saudi cooperation, which is strengthened by a trusting and productive dialogue on a bilateral and multilateral basis, primarily within the framework of major international organizations and regional structures.
Taking this opportunity, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conveyed an invitation to the King and Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia to visit Turkmenistan at any time convenient for them. By agreement of the parties, the dates of the visit will be agreed through diplomatic channels.
At the end of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the diplomat exchanged good wishes, expressing confidence that the existing mutual interest and goodwill of the fraternal peoples of the two countries will serve to bring the Turkmen-Saudi dialogue to a new level that meets mutual interests.
