On May 4, 2017, in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, events were held on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the State of Palestine. To participate in the celebrations of this historic date, a representative delegation from the State of Palestine, led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. M. Shamiya, arrived in Turkmenistan.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, in his address to the participants of the briefing, noted that these events are a clear example of the successful implementation of cooperation between foreign ministries based on the principles of mutual respect. Noting the policy of positive neutrality of the country, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, stressed the need to develop relations with Palestine, as well as with all states without exception on a wide range of areas.
The Deputy Foreign Minister of the State of Palestine, in turn, expressed his gratitude for the invitation to take part in the festive events on the occasion of the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Palestine and especially emphasized the friendly relations between the two countries based on mutual trust. He also noted the great potential for further building up equal and mutually beneficial ties for the benefit of the peoples of both states.
At the end of the briefing, the deputy foreign ministers of the two countries expressed their congratulations on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and expressed their best wishes for peace, harmony and prosperity. Then a festive reception for participants of the briefing took place.
