On May 15, 2017 in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the second meeting of the authorized representatives of the Caspian states, which arrived in the Turkmen capital began to discuss the draft Agreement on cooperation in the field of transport in the Caspian Sea.
The current meeting involves a productive exchange of views and discussions of expert assessments of the Agreement on cooperation between the Caspian states in the field of transport, proposed by the Turkmen side. The new rules and regulations are designed to streamline the movement of cargo and passengers between the Caspian states, the development of infrastructure, to adopt clear legal norms that take into account the interests of all participants.
The development of the draft Agreement on cooperation between the Caspian states in the field of transport, providing for the establishment of the Caspian Regional Transport and Logistics Center, is aimed at maximizing the potential of the Caspian Sea, which will open prospects for expanding trade and economic relations between the littoral countries and their access to world markets.
