On the 19th of November, 2021, an International Conference titled “Neutrality, Peace and Trust” organized in collaboration with the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in a hybrid format.
The Conference was attended by the ECO delegation, officers of the diplomatic service of Turkmenistan, teachers and students of the higher educational institutions, as well as the representatives of the ministries and agencies of the country.
Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of Turkmenistan B.Allakbayev, Rector of the IIR of the MFA of Turkmenistan J.Gurbangeldiyev, Deputy Chairman of “Turkmendenizderyayollary” Agency (Turkmen River and Sea Transport) A.Kosayev, representative of “Turkmendemiryollary” Agency (Turkmen Railways) and teachers of the higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan made speeches at the event.
The speeches of the Deputy Director General of the ECO J.Asanov, President of the Institute of Culture of the ECO S.Bakhti, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Iran A.Gurbanov were made by videoconferencing.
All the speakers at the Conference noted that the agenda, closely connected with the forthcoming meeting of the ECO on high level, is timely and effective. It was highlighted that within the framework of the chairmanship of Turkmenistan in the Organization in the current year, the country, fulfilling the responsible and high mission, actively continued to promote multilateral cooperation between the countries of the format on all directions of mutual interest.
In the course of the meaningful presentations it was underlined that the 15th Summit of the Heads of States-Members of the Economic Cooperation Organization under the chairmanship of Turkmenistan, which will be held in Ashgabat on November 28, on the Foundation Day of the Organization, will mark a new milestone in the relations of the participating countries of the ECO aimed at successful implementation of joint goals
Summit on top level, a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs and business forum, foreseen to be carried out within the framework of the main events, will become an effective platform for exchange of views on the broad range of issues, and will be the biggest final event of the chairmanship of Turkmenistan in this reputable organization.
