On November 15, 2017 in Ashgabat, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R.Meredov met with the delegation of the United Arab Emirates headed by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Mohammed Gargash who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the VII Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan (RECCA VII).
At the meeting, the sides analyzed the current stage of implementation of interstate agreements. In this regard, the parties discussed the current state of political and trade and economic relations. It was noted that one of the vectors of Turkmenistan's foreign policy is the strengthening of friendly relations with the UAE.
In its turn, the Arab side expressed its full support for the positive neutrality and international initiatives of Turkmenistan regarding sustainable energy, security, transit and transport.
The head of the delegation of the United Arab Emirates A.M.Gargash noted the support of Turkmenistan's activities aimed at establishing a peaceful and stable life in Afghanistan and expressed hope for the productive work of the RECCA VII Conference.
