On November 23, 2017, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine held a presentation of the book by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Turkmenistan - heart of the Great Silk Road" with students of the State University of Telecommunications of Kiev in the reception hall of the diplomatic mission.
The Embassy informed the audience that the title of the new work of the head of state - "Turkmenistan - heart of the Great Silk Road", chosen by the Council of Elders as the motto of 2018, reflects the concept of modern development of the country, based on historical experience, traditions of peacemaking and good-neighborliness, honoring the spiritual heritage, aspiration for regional and global integration and progress.
During the event the importance of the new book of the President of Turkmenistan, published in three languages, Turkmen, English and Russian, was emphasized in the context of understanding by the broad readership, including the foreign audience, essence of the democratic and socio-economic transformations taking place in the country, as well as international initiatives of the Head of the state.
In their speeches, the students emphasized that given the rich historical material of the unique book, the original style of presentation; it will become a real textbook for readers and students who want to understand the historical values of the Turkmen people and in the future to develop a dialogue between countries and civilizations.
On November 23, 2017, a similar presentation of the book "Turkmenistan - heart of the Great Silk Road" was held at the Kharkov National Automobile and Highway University with the organizational support of the Consular post of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Kharkov and the administration of the university.
The event was attended by scientists and teachers of higher educational institutions of Kharkov, the media, Turkmen and foreign students.
During the presentation students, pro-rector HNAHU G.Tohtar and employees of the Consular post made their speeches, where it was noted that the significance of the new book of the Turkmen leader is to popularize the spiritual and historical and cultural components of the Great Silk Road phenomenon and is a kind of guidebook for the young generation in familiarizing with traditions and the customs of the Turkmen people.
All participants of the presentation were shown colorful slide shows and a video about modern Turkmenistan.
