On November 23, 2017, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey jointly with the State University of Gazi, Turkey held a solemn presentation of the book of the President of Turkmenistan "Turkmenistan - heart of the Great Silk Road".
The ceremony was attended by the Chief advisor of the Office of the President of the Turkish Republic Yalchyn Topchu, members of the Grand National Majlis of Turkey, the heads and representatives of foreign embassies located in Ankara, the Head of the international organization of Turkish culture (TURKSOY), the members of the Friendship Society Turkmenistan-Turkey, professors and experts of higher educational institutions, representatives of media as well as citizens of Turkmenistan, students and workers residing in the Republic of Turkey.
During the forum, official presentations were made by the rector of the State University of Gazi Ibrahim Uslan, Chief advisor of the Office of the President of the Turkish Republic Yalchyn Topchu, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Turkey, Deputy of Grand National Majlis of Turkey, the head of inter-parliamentary friendship group Turkmenistan-Turkey on the Turkish side Metin Gundogdu, Secretary General of the international organization of Turkic culture (TURKSOY) D. Kaseinov, Head of the Friendship Society Turkmenistan-Turkey Huseyn Yujel, and historian Yahya Aksoy.
Speakers at the solemn event, noting the contents, chapters, deep thoughts, features and other significant aspects of the book, said that the book of the President of Turkmenistan pays special attention to the multilateral economic, political and life features, the rapprochement of the cultures of the Silk Road, the development of civilizations, cultural heritage, hardening economic, scientific and cultural ties between East and West.
At the end of the event the Turkmen national melodies were performed by Turkmen composer Rovshen Nepesov, as well as guests and participants were offered the dishes of the Turkmen national cuisine.
