On January 19, 2018, the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Turkmenistan held a briefing, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Belarus.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the leading Turkmen media, as well as diplomats accredited in Turkmenistan.
Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan A. Shamyradov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan O. Tabanyukhov made their presentations at the briefing. The participants were also shown video films.
As the speakers noted, over the years of relations based on the principles of friendship, mutual respect and trust, a solid foundation was laid between the two states for the development of fruitful cooperation. The positive growth that our countries demonstrate in all areas of cooperation is based on the practice of visits at the highest level and friendly relations between the heads of the two states.
At the end of the event, there was an exchange of views between the participants of the briefing on the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
