On March 29, 2018, the National Industrial Exhibition of the Republic of Uzbekistan was opened in the expocenter of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The forum was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
To participate in the exhibition, a solid delegation consisting of 250 managers and specialists from more than 70 state and private companies and enterprises representing the multifaceted industrial potential of Uzbekistan arrived in Ashgabat.
Representatives of the Mejlis, members of the government, heads of ministries and departments, diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, the media, as well as businessmen of the two countries attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
The participators of the ceremony listened with great attention to the welcoming address of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the participants and guests of the exhibition. The head of state expressed his confidence that the exhibition would help bring Turkmen and Uzbek entrepreneurs to a new level of partnership, increase the volume of mutual trade turnover, and establish business contacts between companies and investors.
On the multi-level exposition platforms, corporations and companies involved in the mining, metallurgical and oil and gas industries, machine-building, electric power, textile and chemical industries, in the production of building materials, household appliances and food, medicine, and trade deployed their stands. It also presents the achievements of the national automotive industry, opportunities in the sphere of services of various types of insurance, as well as all the uniqueness and originality of the arts and crafts and culture of the Uzbek people.
The pavilions of the Turkmen-Uzbek Trade House and the Fund for Support of Export of Small Business and Private Entrepreneurs of Uzbekistan represent a good platform for business meetings and negotiations between businessmen of the two countries. Among the priority tasks of the organizations is further expansion of export potential, assistance in increasing production and promoting it to foreign markets.
Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital will be able to familiarize themselves with a multifaceted exposition in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry by March 31.
