On April 9, 2018, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the People’s Republic of China C. Rustamova and the staff of the diplomatic mission with their children, as well as Turkmen students studying in the universities of the Chinese capital, visited the exemplary primary school "Shijia" in Beijing.
The visit to the educational institution was organized in the context of the development of bilateral cooperation in the educational sphere. Chinese schoolchildren conducted excursion for the Turkmen guests about the school, study rooms, acquainted with the exhibits of the school museum, told about their creative and sports successes, participation in various educational projects.
In the assembly hall, a dialogue took place, during which the director of the school Ms. Wang Huang, and the party committee secretary, Mr. Hong Wei, acquainted the guests with the history, educational specifics and traditions of the school.
In her turn, the Ambassador spoke about the role of Turkmenistan in the history of the Silk Road, about various events dedicated to the motto of 2018 "Turkmenistan - the heart of the Great Silk Road". The state and prospects of cooperation, including in the scientific and educational sphere, were discussed in detail, opportunities for establishing direct contacts and exchange programs between the schools of Turkmenistan and China were discussed. The ambassador answered numerous questions from the audience.
The children of the diplomats and Chinese students spent time in friendly communication, read poems and sang songs in Turkmen, English and Chinese. At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan presented to the school the books of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Turkmenistan - the heart of the Great Silk Road" in English and Russian, and to the children - national sweets and souvenirs.
"Shijia" occupies the top position in the ranking of the best primary educational institutions in China and is considered one of the best schools in the field of science and techniques. The prestige of the school is evidenced by the fact that its students are invited to participate in the ceremonies of official meetings of high-ranking foreign guests. Currently, the school has established direct contacts with leading schools in Europe, Asia and Africa.
