On July 20, 2018, in Turkmenbashi there was the third meeting of the Turkmen-Romanian working group on cooperation in the field of transport, established on the basis of the Memorandum between the Governments of Turkmenistan and Romania.
At the meeting of the working group, in accordance with the agenda, the parties considered issues of the implementation of the agreements reached before and perspectives of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in transit-transport sphere. The sides exchanged views on the possibility of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in this direction. In this context, the sides singled out the prospects of partnership between the Turkmenbashi and Constanta sea ports.
During the meeting, the parties noted the need to consolidate efforts to implement the agreements reached during the summit meetings between the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Romania, as well as the foreign ministers of the two countries on the diversification of transport routes in the European and in the opposite direction, using all transit transport opportunities and transport- infrastructure facilities of the two countries.
At the end of the Turkmen-Romanian working group on cooperation in the field of transport, the parties signed the Protocol of the third meeting.
