On April 19-20, the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum is being held in a hybrid format at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The theme of this year's Forum is "COVID 19 recovery: Youth taking action for a sustainable future".
Representatives of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy, the Magtymguly Youth Organization, and other national entities take part in the event from the Turkmen side.
The ECOSOC Youth Forum has been held annually since 2012.
Over the years, the Forum has become one of the main platforms where young people can take part in policy discussions within the United Nations, offering their collectively developed ideas and solutions.
The Forum allows representatives of youth-led organizations and networks, youth activists and other stakeholders to engage in dialogue with the United Nations Member States and explore ways and means to promote youth development and inclusion.
