On January 11, 2023, in Paris, at the initiative of the «France-Turkmenistan Chamber of Commerce», a business lunch was held with the participation of representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in France, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, as well as French companies VINCI Construction, CARPI Tech, MEDEF International, SAFRAN, PMJC, CIS Energy , IN Groupe, Thomson Broadcast, Oberthur, Airbus D&S, Saberatours and others.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues aimed at intensifying trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and France.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan M.Charyev briefed the participants on the favorable conditions created for foreign business in our country and invited French entrepreneurs to actively participate in the implementation of investment projects in such areas as the chemical industry, gas and petrochemical industries, textile industry, and agriculture. In addition, the information was provided on sectoral development programs, which clearly define projects planned for implementation with the participation of foreign capital.
It was also proposed to create joint ventures with Turkmen companies in Turkmenistan for the production of products in the textile industry, agriculture, light and processing industries, and in the field of IT technologies.
The participants received detailed information about the transit and logistics potential of Turkmenistan, in particular, about the possibilities of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport, railways and roads of our country, which can be used in trade between France and with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
In frames of the business lunch, the representative of the State commodity and raw materials exchange of Turkmenistan S.Berdiev acquainted the French partners with the exchange activities in Turkmenistan, the procedure for registering export and import contracts, and also informed about the goods of Turkmen production sold on the exchange and exported abroad.
Following the meeting, in order to establish a constant dialogue, the parties agreed to continue the practice of holding such events on a regular basis.
