On March 19, 2024, at the Kyrgyz National University named after J.Balasagyn, a cultural event and concert program “Novruz in the Turkic World” was held, dedicated to the national spring holiday - the International Day of Novruz Bayram.
The event was attended by heads of accredited diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, as well as representatives of leading universities in Bishkek and students.
Delivering a welcoming speech, Ambassador of Turkmenistan N.Golliev said that within the framework of the International Nowruz Day in Turkmenistan, a number of events are planned in the capital and regions of the country. At the same time, the main celebrations will take place in the town of “Nowruz ýaýlasy”, located in the Ahal region. Along with this, it is planned to hold an exhibition of books by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as cultural performances.
Those present were also informed about important international events that will be held in Turkmenistan this year to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi and the declaration of the Turkmen city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world.
