From May 27 to 29, 2024, the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of health and medical industry of Turkmenistan M.Mammedov took part in the 77th session of the World Health Assembly, held under the motto “All for Health, Health for All”.
During the speech of Turkmen side were emphasized the efforts of Turkmenistan to maintain the health of the population and ensure equal access to quality medical care for all the citizens of the country.
As part of the presented agenda, the parties are considering the current health issues, including ensuring universal health coverage, preventing and combating non-communicable diseases, maternal and child health, implementing the Immunization Action Program until 2030. Thus, it ensures effective protection in the field of health care in emergency situations, as well as social, economic and environmental aspects that have a direct impact on health processes.
The work of the Assembly will last until June 1, 2024.
