On March 8-10, 2023 within the framework of the events, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great thinker and classical poet of the East Magtymguly Fragi, in the Buhkara region of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held the dialogue-conference on "Magtymguly's world fame".
The event was attended by Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan Y.Mamedov, the Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Ch.Rustemova, Hakim of Bukhara region B.Zaripov, heads of the Turkmen Cultural Centre, Turkmen scientists and historians, professors, teachers and turkmen students, as well as representatives of the Turkmen diaspora living in Bukhara region and mass-media.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ambassador of Turkmenistan said that international preparations were underway to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, a poet who left a deep mark on Turkmen literature and received worldwide recognition.
Participants highlighting the significance of the scientific-practical conference, confirmed that the creative heritage of the famous master of words Magtymguly Fragi, passed on by high humanistic traditions, is an invaluable asset not only of the Turkic-speaking peoples, but also of all humanity.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the conference, Bukhara region's Hakim B.Zaripov, noted with satisfaction that the interstate cooperation, based on mutual friendship and good neighborly relations, has reached a qualitatively new level as a result of tireless efforts of the leaders of the two countries.
In course the conference was noted that the friendly and humanitarian relations between the peoples of the two countries in recent years have reached a new level. An exchange of views also took place regarding scientific research on the work of Magtymguly Fragi.
As part of the event, the participants visited the memorial complex "Old City" in Bukhara, the Gogeldash Madrasah, where Magtymguly Fragi received his education, and also got acquainted with the places where he lived and studied.
