These days, in the building of the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), meetings are being held between the heads of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan with the direction of the IAEA.
At the meeting held with Deputy Director General, Head of the Department of Nuclear Safety and Security Lydie Evrard, attention was paid to the importance of international documents through the IAEA. In particular, an exchange of views took place on the Convention on Early Notification of a Nuclear Accident and the Convention on Assistance in the Event of a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency.
At the same time, it was noted that special attention is paid to modern international standards in the field of nuclear and radiation safety, and measures were discussed to improve the national legislative framework in this direction.
