On August 28, 2017 in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif, Balkh Province, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan a solemn opening ceremony of the Turkmen-Afghan trading house "Turkmenistan" had been held.
To participate in the celebrations on the occasion of the opening of the trading house, a representative delegation arrived from Turkmenistan, comprising of representatives of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, business circles and employees of the State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company.
From the Afghan side the opening ceremony was attended by the Governor of Samangan province Karim Khaddam, Deputy Governor of Balkh province, Mohammad Beshir Tahvidi, chairman of the legislature of Balkh province Afzal Hadid, chairman of the legislature of Dzhouzdzhan province Movlavi Hayat, Hakim of Sheberghan city of the Dzhouzdzhan province Engineer Hussein, Hakim of the district Akja of the Dzhouzdzhan province Annamyrat Shai, Hakim of the township Akina of Faryab province Mohammad Anwar Gurban, head of the representative office of the Foreign Ministry of Afghanistan in Mazar-i-Sharif Hadji Nureddin, as well as heads of local authorities of the Balkh province and heads of diplomatic missions working in Mazar-i-Sharif.
In the course of the welcoming ceremony officials took the floor and in their presentations stressed that the opening of the trading house will contribute to the further development of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.
Then, with the participation of the guests of the opening ceremony, sadaqa (dinner) was given to the honor of the honorable President of Turkmenistan.
After the sadaqa in the assembly hall of the Kefayat Hotel in Mazar-i-Sharif, a business meeting was held between members of the delegation of Turkmenistan and representatives of business circles of Afghanistan.
During the meeting, representatives of the Afghan side emphasized their great interest in exporting Afghan goods in different countries and, at the same time to import various goods to Afghanistan using the capabilities of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan. In this regard, it was noted that, in order to timely eliminate the problems that arise during transportation, the Afghan side considers it expedient to consider opening a representative office of the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan in Afghanistan.
In the afternoon, members of the Turkmen delegation were received by the Governor of the Balkh province of Afghanistan, A.M. Noor. The Turkmen side expressed gratitude to the province leadership for organizing the opening ceremony of the trading house at a high level and for the sincere hospitality extended to the delegation during the visit. Then the Governor of Balkh province made a speech, who stressed that he highly appreciated the fact of opening the Turkmen-Afghan trading house and expressed gratitude to the respected President of Turkmenistan. At the end of the meeting, Governor A.M. Noor expressed his gratitude to the Turkmen side and warmly said goodbye to the members of the delegation.
