The solemn ceremony of presentation of the book by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road" took place in the Russian capital.
The action initiated by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Russia and the editorial board of the international magazine "Turkmenistan" gathered a large audience of representatives of the deputy corps of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, senior officials of the Russian Foreign Ministry, academic circles of the Russian capital, leaders of diplomatic missions accredited in Russia, representatives of the CIS Executive Committee, international public organizations, political scientists, experts and representatives of the media.
Speakers at the presentation noted that the new fundamental work of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov makes it possible to objectively assess the historical path of the Turkmen, get acquainted with their national and cultural identity, traditions, customs and life standards, deeply realize the invaluable contribution of the Turkmen people to the world scientific, economic and cultural progress. An important factor in the unconditional success of the new publication with a broad readership, the gathering noted, was the fact that the book "Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road" was published in three languages - Turkmen, English and Russian.
The speakers stressed the fact that the phenomenon of the Great Silk Road as a unique phenomenon in world history, which connected dozens of countries with trade, information and cultural contacts is considered in the book not only in the context of the history and spiritual values of the Turkmen people, but also the future of the whole country. The collected scientific material allows the author to connect history and modernity, gradually opening to the reader his idea, his reflections on the past, present and future of his native people.
At the end of the solemn presentation, the copies of the new book were handed to representatives of organizations that are the most active participants in the Turkmen-Russian political and humanitarian dialogue. The first holders of valuable copies were the libraries of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the International Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS countries, the Moscow Journalists Union, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). In addition, a copy of the book "Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road" was presented as a gift to the Dean of the accredited in Moscow diplomatic corps of the CIS countries, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu.
