On April 23, 2018, the National Exhibition of Turkmenistan started its work in Tashkent, devoted to the state visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Uzbekistan.
The main objective of the exhibition, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in conjunction with the National Exhibition Company "Uzexpocentre", is the expansion of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation. The large-scale exposition demonstrates the achievements and prospects for the development of our country's economy, its investment and export potential.
Heads and leading experts of a number of branch ministries and departments, large enterprises and companies, representatives of business structures and mass media took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibition.
Energy and industry, oil and gas, petrochemicals, construction industry, transport and logistics, communications and telecommunications, agriculture, chemical, textile and food industries, carpet weaving, medicine and pharmaceuticals, science and education, culture, sports and tourism - the dynamics of the developments of these spheres was reflected in colorfully designed stands, in information materials - booklets, brochures, magazines.
Increasingly strong positions in various production spheres of the national economic complex are occupied by representatives of private business. Domestic entrepreneurs specialize in agro-processing and food industries, textile and furniture production, household chemicals, printing, construction of modern residential complexes and industrial enterprises.
The State Committee on Tourism has acquainted visitors with the great potential of Turkmenistan's tourism sector. Here you could get detailed information about the National Tourist Zone "Avaza" located on the Caspian Sea coast, popular tourist routes, introducing historical and cultural monuments and nature reserves of the country.
Having attracted a lot of interest from representatives of state structures and business circles of Uzbekistan, the National Exhibition of Turkmenistan once again confirmed that it is an effective platform for demonstrating the broad capabilities of domestic producers and promoting their products to foreign markets.
