On November 21-22, 2016 Riga hosted the 3rd meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Latvian commission on economic, industrial, scientific and technical cooperation, which was attended by heads and representatives of the leading ministries and departments of the two states.
During the meeting the sides discussed the implementation of the agreements reached at the second meeting of the Commission held in December 2014 in Ashgabat.
At the meeting, the parties were informed about the economic potential of the two countries. The two sides also discussed the possibilities of interaction on a wide range of areas of economic and trade cooperation, including in the field of construction, transport, information technology and communications, agriculture, health and science. The sides called for deeper cooperation between the two countries through the Chambers of Commerce and business circles of the two countries.
Final Protocol was signed at the end of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Latvian commission on economic, industrial, scientific and technical cooperation.
