On July 19, 2018, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan there was a meeting with the delegation of the United Arab Emirates, headed by the Director-General of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation Mohammed Haji Al Khouri, who arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit.
During the negotiations the parties positively evaluated the level of cooperation between the two countries and marked the need to activate the interaction in future. It was noted that along with such important areas of interstate relations as political, trade and economic, it’s necessary to develop closer ties in the field of sport, education and science. At the meeting, the parties also analyzed the implementation of interstate agreements.
In its turn, the delegation of the UAE expressed its full support for the positive neutrality and international initiatives of Turkmenistan regarding sustainable energy, security, transit and transport.
According to the meeting participants, thanks to the policy of the leaders of the two countries, the relations between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates are characterized by a high level of trust, based on the established principles of mutual respect and equal partnership. Expressing satisfaction with the current state of bilateral relations, the meeting participants noted the importance of regular contacts between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries.
