On September 15, 2022, in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, a meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Vepa Hajiyev and the delegation of the International Labor Organization (ILO) headed by the representative of the ILO International Labour Standards Department, Ms. Deepa Rishikesh.
The parties underlined the high level of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the International Labor Organization and discussed the issues of accession of Turkmenistan to the ILO Conventions and other related international documents.
The Turkmen side also expresses its gratitude to the ILO for the preparation of the review document on legislative reform in Turkmenistan. Today all recommendations of this review are carefully considered by the relevant ministries and national entities to ensure their further implementation.
During the meeting, readiness has been expressed to organize a visit of a high-level ILO delegation to Turkmenistan later this year.
