Ministers of Health of the Central Asian countries discussed the regional roadmap for health protection

On April 8, 2022, an online roundtable discussion of the Ministers of Health of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan took place. The purpose of the discussion is to present the Health Roadmap for Central Asia for 2022-2025 and discuss the views of countries on the joint development of this document.

During the videoconference, the Minister of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan announced the country's initiatives to create a Regional Center for Epidemiology, Virology and Bacteriology for Central Asia, which was supported by a number of states on a bilateral basis, as well as the readiness to host the Central Asian Preparatory meeting for the One Health Conference.

The Turkmen side proposed the inclusion of these initiatives in the draft road map.
