On May 10 this year, a regular meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission to ensure the implementation of Turkmenistan's international obligations in the field of human rights and international humanitarian law will be held.
The meeting will also be attended by representatives of international organizations. This form of meetings of the Commission, open to multilateral partners, contributes to greater efficiency and transparency of the work of this mechanism.
The agenda of the upcoming meeting, in particular, includes the development of an updated version of the National Action Plan for Human Rights in Turkmenistan, adapting it to long-term strategic national programs for the period 2022-2028, as well as consideration of the report on the results of the Survey on the Health and Status of women in the family jointly with the United Nations Population Fund within the implementation of the National Action Plan for Gender Equality.
