On April 6, 2022, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, with the support of the UN Resident Coordinator Office, will hold the Conference “Results of COP-26: towards the implementation of climate change initiatives of Central Asian countries”.
The main objectives of the conference are to discuss main achievements of COP-26, their significance for Central Asia, as well as ways to expand cooperation in promoting the initiatives of the countries of the region on climate change.
This forum will also serve as a platform for the countries of Central Asia to present today’s and future national measures to decarbonize and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The conference will also present the work of the Climate Technology Center and Network (CTCN), operating under the auspices of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Upcoming event will initiate discussion on the best ways to engage and coordinate regionally to accelerate countries' transition to a low-carbon economy as part of their commitments under the Paris Agreement.
