On April 8, 2022, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the Secretariat of the the Regional Nutrition Capacity Development and Partnership platform will host the 3rd Annual virtual meeting of the Platform.
Platform’s Secretariat is located at the the Public Health and Nutrition Center of State Sanitary-Epidemiological Service of Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan.
Launched in 2018, the platform provides an opportunity for member states and UN Agencies in the region to come together towards a collective call for action on nutrition agenda supporting governments in delivering on commitments of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The upcoming meeting will bring together experts from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, in particular representatives of ministries of health, national managers responsible for nutrition programmes, and relevant academicians and development partners (UNICEF, WHO, FAO, WFP and IGN).

This meeting will contribute towards building the leadership and governance capacity in nutrition governance, strengthening policy efforts for improved financing for nutrition results and enhancing the capacity of the nutrition workforce.
