On November 17, 2023, an international scientific conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the classical poet and thinker of the East Magtymguly Fragi was held in the conference hall of the Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammad Fuzuli of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
The conference was attended by researchers from the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts named after Magtymguly of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, professors and students of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, leaders and scientists from the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Genjevi and the Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammad Fuzuli of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. During the meeting, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan Isa Habibeyli, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan G.Elyasov, Turkmen and Azerbaijani scientists spoke about the life and work of Magtymguly Fragi, the significance of his works on a universal level.
During the event, a feature film made about Magtymguly “Hakyň guly - Magtymguly”, created by the “Türkmenfilm” Association of Turkmenistan named after Oguzkhan was shown.
As part of the international scientific conference, a ceremony was held to present the publication of selected works of Magtymguly Fragi in the Azerbaijani language.
