On November 20, 2023, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea B.Durdyev took part in the Forum of Think Tank Roundtable of the Countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Korea.
The event was organized by the Secretariat of the Cooperation Forum between the countries of “Central Asia and the Republic of Korea”, and was attended by the heads of diplomatic missions of the Central Asian states accredited in the Republic of Korea, as well as representatives of scientific and expert circles of the Central Asian countries and the Republic of Korea.
During the speeches, the participants of the event expressed the opinion that the creation of a platform for dialogue, within which think tanks and researchers from the Republic of Korea and Central Asian countries will be able to exchange views and discuss current issues of cooperation, will be an important step in the search for new promising areas of partnership.
The meeting participants also highly appreciated the results of the 16th Cooperation Forum “Central Asia - Republic of Korea”, held on November 1, 2023 in Ashgabat. At the same time, it was emphasized that the agreements reached during the Forum made a significant contribution to the further strengthening of mutual ties and cooperation in various areas of interaction in the “CA-RK” format.
As a result of the round table meeting, a Joint Statement was adopted on the start of the work of the Forum of Think Tanks of the Countries of Central Asia and the Republic of Korea. It was also announced that the first Forum will take place next year in the Republic of Korea.
