On November 29-30, 2023, the Turkmen delegation led by the Authorized Representative for Human Rights in Turkmenistan - Ombudsman Y.Gurbannazarova was on a working visit in Georgia.
In the framework of visit, the delegation of Turkmenistan met with the Public Defender (Ombudsman) of Georgia Levan Iosseliani.
During the meeting, the parties considered opportunities to exchange experience and improve the efficiency of the national human rights body, and also discussed important issues of cooperation and the agenda for the near future.
Also, the Turkmen side was introduced with the activities of the central department of the Office of the People's Defender of Georgia, its divisions and regional departments.
During the visit, bilateral meetings were also held with the heads of the Special Investigation Service of Georgia, the Center for Human Rights and other relevant institutions.
