On January 15, 2024, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Italian Republic, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Italy Toyli Komekov and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Edmondo Chirielli.
During the meeting, the significance of the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Italy in November 2019 in expanding bilateral relations was emphasized. In this respect, issues of developing cooperation in areas in which agreements were reached between the leaders of the two countries were discussed.
In the framework of the meeting, further steps were also considered to strengthen bilateral interaction within international organizations and deepen relations in the scientific, cultural, trade and economic spheres, in particular, holding various events with the participation of heads of relevant ministries, organizing cultural events, strengthening the legal framework, as well as organizing political consultations between Foreign ministries.
