On January 25, 2024, a briefing was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic in honor of declaring 2024 in Turkmenistan the year of “Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi.”
As part of this event, a presentation of the first book by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov entitled “Youth is the support of the Motherland” also took place.
The event was attended by the leadership of the Institute of Language and Literature named after Ch.Aitmatov at the Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, the rectorate of the Kyrgyz National University named after J.Balasagyn, the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, leading political scientists, representatives of the media, students from Turkmenistan studying at universities in Bishkek , as well as representatives of the Turkmen diaspora.
Speakers during the briefing emphasized the special significance of the creative heritage of Magtymguly Fragi, which has become an integral part of the treasury of world culture.
In this context, it was stated that the current year 2024, held under the motto “Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi” is intended to pay tribute to the great poet and philosopher, becoming a kind of sign of deep veneration by current generations of the rich creative heritage of the great classic of the Turkmen people.
The participants emphasized the relevance of including the collection of manuscripts of the Turkmen philosopher and poet Magtymguly Fragi in the International Memory of the World List and including his 300th anniversary in the UNESCO List of Memorable Dates, as well as declaring 2024 the Year of the Great Poet and Thinker by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) Turkic world of Magtymguly Fragi".
During the briefing, the first book of the President of Turkmenistan S. Berdimuhamedov “Youth is the support of the Motherland” was also presented.
It was noted that the main message of the book by the head of state is to reveal the role of youth in the development of the country, where their significant contribution to various spheres of public life of Turkmenistan is noted. The young generation is the key core of society and its development is a priority for the further progress of the country.
Next, the event participants were told about the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024 – the city of Anau, and were also shown a video demonstrating the country’s achievements.
The briefing participants noted that this event is the next step in scientific and cultural exchange between the two friendly countries.
