On January 28, 2024, the "Zaildar House" in the historical Taxila district of Pakistan's Punjab province became the site of the traditional annual "Orange Festival", organized through the efforts of the office of the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and military attache in Islamabad together with the Vice-Chairman of the Elaan Research Centre Zaildar Ahsan Shah.
The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan Mirza Muhammad Afridi, members of the interim government of Pakistan, heads and staff of diplomatic missions in Islamabad, as well as cultural figures and businessmen.
Addressing the participants, the Deputy Chairman of the Senate emphasized that cultural diplomacy plays an important role in promoting the historical and rich heritage of the country at the international level.
In turn, the Dean of the diplomatic corps, Ambassador of Turkmenistan A.Movlamov noted that this event contributes to a closer familiarization of the diplomatic community with the culture and history of Pakistan.
At the end, the festival guests expressed gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity to get acquainted with the rich culture and traditions of Pakistan. Foreign guests in their interviews with local media emphasized their interest in expanding cultural ties and tourist exchanges with Pakistan.
