On February 13-14, 2024, a photo exhibition was held in the capital of Armenia dedicated to the motto of 2024 in Turkmenistan “The Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi”, as well as the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the outstanding classic of Turkmen literature Magtymguly Fragi. The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Armenia and the Union of Artists of Armenia.
The exhibition was attended by artists and cultural figures, representatives of scientific and educational institutions of Armenia, heads and employees of diplomatic missions accredited in Armenia, correspondents of the Armenpress and ArmiInfo news agencies, and the MIR 24 TV channel.
At the opening ceremony, Chairman of the Union of Artists of Armenia Suren Safaryan and Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia Muhammetgeldy Ayazov addressed the audience with welcoming speeches.
The speech of the head of the Turkmen diplomatic mission noted the importance of the immortal literary heritage of Magtymguly Fragi, which has become an integral part of world literature and culture.
It is noteworthy that the works of Magtymguly Fragi were translated into Armenian and published in 1959, 1983 and 2014.
