On February 15, 2024, in the Magtymguly Library in Kyiv the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Ukraine in a solemn ceremony donated new exhibits of decorative and applied arts and Turkmen book products in different languages to the Magtymguly Museum, which were sent by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
The hosts, represented by the leadership of Magtymguly Library expressed gratitude for the invaluable exhibits received for the museum, which are especially significant in the anniversary year and will serve for wider study and dissemination of the invaluable heritage of the Turkmen classical poet.
From now on, in the Magtymguly Museum one can see works of folk crafts, elegant carpets, national women's jewelry, Turkmen clothing and headdresses, samples of musical instruments, and of course the images of Magtymguly Fragi in sculpture, woven on canvas and in paintings by talented Turkmen artists.
The museum and library collection are replenished with Turkmen literature, in particular books by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, publications about the history, culture, architecture of Turkmenistan, about the outstanding poet Magtymguly and his priceless poetic heritage.
During the meeting, the parties outlined and discussed a plan of joint events dedicated to the celebration this year of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi.
