On February 29, 2024, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Tajikistan A. Kochmuradov and the Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan Kh. Rajapov.
The meeting was also attended by a delegation from the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), which was on a working visit to Dushanbe.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed issues of further intensifying bilateral Turkmen-Tajik cooperation in the trade and economic sector.
In this context, light industry, the oil and gas sector, the food sector, as well as the agro-industrial complex are identified as priority areas for intensifying bilateral partnerships.
The Tajik side welcomed the intention of the Turkmen side to open the Trade House of Turkmenistan in the city of Dushanbe. At the same time, the readiness of the friendly country to provide all possible assistance for its speedy opening and organization of its full-fledged activities was stated.
