On 1 March 2024, Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Georgia Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov met with Director of Georgian National Center of Manuscripts Zaza Abashidze.
The parties discussed issues of deepening cooperation between the Magtymguly National Institute of Language, Literature and Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Georgian National Center of Manuscripts through direct contact between the two entities. The importance of holding joint conferences, scientific forums, research, joint implementation of scientific projects, as well as exchange of experience between scientists of the two countries was emphasized.
The Ambassador noted that this year the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi is solemnly celebrated at the international level. He stressed that all the events timed to this anniversary date are aimed at promoting wider acquaintance of the world community with the works of Magtymguly Fragi, strengthening humanitarian dialogue, friendship and mutual understanding between peoples.
In turn, Z.Abashidze expressed confidence in further successful continuation of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Turkmenistan and Georgia, noting the important role of scientists of the two countries in promoting the rich cultural heritage, ancient values and national art of their peoples.
