On 1 March 2024 a meeting between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Armenia M.Ayazov and the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zh.Andreasyan were held.
During the meeting the parties touched upon the issues of bilateral corporation in the cultural, humanitarian, scientific, educational, and sports fields.
Ambassador M. Ayazov expressed his gratitude to the Minister Zh.Andreasyan for the support of the Ministry in the events dedicated to the 300th anniversary the classic of Turkmen literature Magtymguly Fragi.
The issues of mutual participation of students and schoolchildren of the two countries in the ongoing thematic Olympiads were also raised.
Conducting the Days of Culture of the Republic of Armenia in Turkmenistan was also among the topics of the meeting.
Regarding the development of cooperation in the field of sports, the Ambassador noted that the Turkmenistan swimming team will arrive in Armenia to participate in training camps in the city of Tsakhkadzor in March 2024, and Armenian ice hockey players are invited to Ashgabat for the International Hockey Tournament in April.
During the meeting, which took place in a constructive atmosphere, an agreement was also reached to enrich the legal-treaty basis in the fields of education, science, culture and sports.
