On March 2, 2024, the Embassy hosted a briefing detailing the results of key governmental gatherings, notably the February 9 Cabinet of Ministers meeting and the February 22 session of the Presidium of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan. Participants included members of the Turkmen diaspora residing in the USA and Turkmen students studying in the US educational institutions.
Ambassador M.Orazov delivered insights into the substantial priorities outlined by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the year proclaimed as «Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi". Additionally, embassy diplomats highlighted initiatives and conditions created by the leadership of Turkmenistan to benefit Turkmen youth.
Furthermore, the briefing discussed the "Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan and Investment of in 2024" and the Action Plan for the basic directions of the work of the Halk Maslakhaty, emphasizing crucial tasks aimed at improving the living standards of our people.
Students and diaspora representatives expressed gratitude for the opportunities provided by our Esteemed President and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, expressing their appreciation for the favorable conditions created for studying abroad and their commitment to contributing to the prosperity and stability of our homeland.
The briefing also underscored the importance of celebrating the 300th anniversary of our national poet Magtymguly Pyragy, highlighting significant events and initiatives planned both in Turkmenistan and abroad to commemorate his legacy and promote his works on an international scale.
