On March 5, 2024, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan N.Golliev held a meeting with the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic A.Maksutov.
A wide range of issues of bilateral cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including the spheres of culture, information, sports and youth policy, were discussed at the meeting.
The Ambassador invited the Kyrgyz delegation to take an active part in events dedicated to the election of the historical Turkmen city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024, as well as the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the great poet and thinker of the East Magtymguly Fragi.
Minister A.Maksutov highly appreciated the work carried out in Turkmenistan in this area and confirmed his readiness to work together on programs aimed at supporting significant initiatives and developing bilateral cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The Ambassador also noted that, as part of the large-scale work carried out in Turkmenistan in the field of youth policy, measures are being taken to comprehensively support and develop the capabilities of the younger generation, as evidenced by the adopted “State Program in the Field of State Youth Policy of Turkmenistan for 2021–2025”.
Cooperation in the field of sports is also identified as a promising area of bilateral relations.
