On March 7, 2024, a briefing on the results of an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, held on February 9, as well as a meeting of the Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, held on February 22, was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The event in the Embassy was attended by representatives of the Afghan Turkmen diaspora, living in various cities and villages of the country.
During the briefing, its participants were familiarized with the priority tasks for the successful implementation of the “Program of Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan and Investments for 2024”, the effective functioning of the economy, the profitability of commodity producers and the creation of new jobs aimed at further improving the standard of living of the Turkmen people. Based on this, to implement the assigned tasks in the preparation of relevant regulations and laws, the role of the Halk Maslahaty was noted.
As part of the briefing, an exchange of views took place regarding the declaration of 2024 as the Year of “Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi,” which involves holding many events at the national and international levels dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
At the end of the event, a video about the city of Arkadag being built based on the “smart city” concept, the construction of the 2nd phase of which is included in the “Program of Socio-economic Development of Turkmenistan and Investments for 2024” was shown to its participants.
