On March 19, 2024, a briefing was held at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Moscow on the results of the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan for 2023, the country’s international approaches in the context of the speech of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum and international events in honor of the 300th anniversary since the birth of Magtymguly Fragi.
The briefing was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Turkmenistan (with residence in Moscow), diplomats of the CIS countries, the media, political scientists, the cultural community, and the Turkmen diaspora in Russia.
During the event, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Russia E.Aydogdyev informed the audience in detail about the successful results of the economic and social development of Turkmenistan in 2023, and provided statistical data indicating the steady and dynamic growth of indicators in industry, agriculture, social and other important areas.
The participants of the briefing were familiarized with important events in the international activities of Turkmenistan, foreign visits of the Head of State and the Nationality of the leader of the Turkmen people, meetings with leaders of foreign states, and events held in the area of cultural and parliamentary diplomacy.
An important place at the briefing was occupied by the presentation of the country’s approaches in the light of international initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the keynote speech of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the 3rd Antalya Diplomacy Forum (Turkey), including on topics such as the role of developing countries and transition economy, climate agenda, Turkmenistan’s initiative at the UN to develop a Global Security Strategy, issues of sustainable energy and transport connectivity.
Those present were also informed about the important international events that are planned in Turkmenistan this year to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi.
