On April 4, 2024, in Baku, a delegation led by the Deputy Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan R.Ataev took part in a meeting of representatives of the General Prosecutor's Offices of the Caspian states, held under the title “Environmental threats and offenses in the Caspian Sea: strategies of prosecutorial authorities to protect the marine environment”.
At the meeting, environmental issues related to the reduction of biological resources in the Caspian Sea, marine pollution, sea level decline, climate change and degradation of marine ecosystems were discussed. In this regard, activities aimed at restoring and enhancing marine biological resources were discussed in detail.
During the visit, the delegation of Turkmenistan, under the leadership of the Deputy Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan R.Ataev, held a meeting with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan K.Aliyev, where the Turkmen side thanked the hosts of the meeting for organizing the event. The parties noted that the prosecutor's offices of the two fraternal countries have always attached great importance to cooperation and emphasized the importance of further strengthening the bilateral partnership.
