On April 19, 2024, a number of scientific and cultural events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi, as well as the presentation of a new book by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov “Anau - culture from the depths of millennia” took place in Ankara with the participation of a delegation of scientists, artists and cultural figures of Turkmenistan.
During the events, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Turkey, together with the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), organized a flower-laying ceremony at the monument to the great Turkmen classical poet Magtymguly Fragi, installed in the Turkmenistan Park in the center of Ankara.
The event was attended by ambassadors of a number of countries, representatives of various ministries and departments of Turkey, famous writers and public figures, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora, students and the media.
On this day, also at the headquarters of the International Organization TURKSOY in Ankara, the presentation of the book of the President of Turkmenistan “Anau - culture from the depths of millennia”, which is dedicated to the proclamation of the ancient city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024, took place.
An exhibition of decorative and applied arts, paintings and books telling about the history and current achievements of Turkmenistan was launched in the foyer of the TURKSOY headquarters.
At the end of the events, a festive concert was held, in which cultural figures and masters of art from Turkmenistan and Turkey took part.
